The Pedalhead: A Hardtail Party Review
We’re excited to announce that the V2 Pedalhead is back in stock. Our beloved steel hardtail was revamped last year with new tricks up its sleeve, such as swappable dropouts and refreshed custom steel tubing. This time around it’s available in all of our sizes, making hardtail riding accessible to all.
Earlier this year we sent a frame over to the hardtail expert himself: Hardtail Party (aka Steve Hendricks). Being our adventure hardtail, we figured there was no better person to try it out. While we were mitering tubes and welding frames at the GG HQ, Steve was out testing the Pedalhead on his local trails in Sedona, AZ.
Sedona is known for its wide variety of terrain, red-rock landscapes, and overall world class riding. Steve was able to take the Pedalhead on everything from sandstone slabs to exposed features. He found that the bike took it all in stride, “It charges and it's really at home anywhere.”
Before even throwing a leg over the bike, Steve took an in depth look at its geometry. If numbers are your thing, you can watch his first-look video here.
Tape measures and protractors aside, he found that what he discovered during his first look held true on the trail, “this bike is really well balanced between the reach and the rear center.”
Balanced geometry and major versatility are only complemented by the bike's overall maneuverability. In Steve’s words, “I can still put it around where I need to be, super composed, I love this little bike!”
